Bill Houston grew up in Havre de Grace, Maryland, and began his radio career as a child by hooking up a 5-watt transmitter to his house antenna and "playing radio." In high school, Bill sharpened his skills by volunteering at the campus radio station. From there, he built a career in secular radio. Bill was welcomed to RBC in September 1994 as an associate producer. In addition to his work at RBC, Bill serves as chaplain for the Grand Rapids Rampage of the Arena Football League and the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.
Doug Redford is a veteran broadcaster who now works in the advancement department of Mel Trotter Ministries, a gospel rescue mission in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He currently does high school football play-by-play across west Michigan for Sportsplay, Inc.
A veteran of over 30 years in radio and television play-by-play, Frank Giardina is in his second year working with Sports Spectrum. Prior to working with Sports Spectrum, Frank was a broadcaster and administrator with Penn State University athletics for more than 17 years. Frank is a 1976 graduate of Marshall University with a B. A. degree in broadcast journalism.
A veteran of 10 years of sports play-by-play, Steve is in his third year of working with Sports Spectrum radio. A native of Pentwater, Michigan, Steve is the radio play-by-play voice of Grand Valley State football and basketball. From 2001 to 2004, he also served as the radio play-by-play voice of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
